About Us
Our Founder
Irene Morris worked at the Corps of Engineers, while a student at the University of New Orleans. She went on to work at the Department of Defense, Navy Division, and last but not least the Consular Affairs, New Orleans Passport Division.
Ms. Morris devoted 35 consecutive years of her life, but in 2018 it became necessary for her to retire from government.
Ms. Morris went on to do 10 years of foster care with the Louisiana State Dept., and now she is completing one of her life long dreams of helping children and making a difference in their lives. Her motto is "If I can just help one child as I pass this way, then my living will not be in vain. For the past 20 years Ms. Morris has done several events involving the youth. These include plays, skits, toy give-aways, Black History, Good Friday, Christmas and many others. Because of her passion to help children succeed in life she founded ENERI UNITED NON-PROFIT INC.
Who We Are
Founded by Irene Morris, ENERI UNITED NON-PROFIT INC. was established in 2020 in order to provide children an environment in which they can reach their fullest potential.
We are endeavoring to shine a positive light on the 7th ward in New Orleans.

Our organization has over 20 specialists, some are retired teachers, special needs specialists, retired government employees and business administrators. We are eager and filled with passion and compassion regarding the assistance of children.
We are currently working with kids in K-8th grade and are looking forward to expanding our programs in the future.
We know our children are the future and we should teach them well and let them lead the way. Let's show them the beauty they possess inside. We can give them a sense of pride to make it easier, let their laughter remind us how it used to be.
They are our world, they are our future, they are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving. There's a choice you're making and its saving children's lives, it's true we make a brighter day just you and me.
